Laminated limp cover of Hewits alum tawed goat with pigskin embossed grain (outer) and black Harmatan goat (inner).
Raised 'lacunose' panels (PVA-impregnated/sanded leather collage).
Title (front) and author's name (rear) debossed in squares of silver attached with sewn glass beads.
Recessed stylized 'bird' and 'fish' onlays of dark grey goatskin.
Two-stage sewing; first stage, textblock only; second stage through cover and glass beads.
Silk endbands.
Inner laminate blind blocked with avocet and zander designs and onlaid with blue-grey goatskin.

Drop-back box with cryptic 'lacunose' design on spine.


A removable magnetic cushion conceals a cruciform folder…
